After beating Barton in Liberal, the Seward women’s soccer team faced the Barton Cougars Sunday afternoon at Dodge City Memorial Stadium.  Work is ongoing on Barton’s soccer field in Great Bend so the game was moved.  Barton scored two goals in the first half and held on to edge the Lady Saints 2-1.  Seward’s Eduarda Martins scored SCCC’s goal.  Barton dominated this contest with 11 shots on goal to Seward’s 3.  Barton is 7-5 overall and 4-4 in the Jayhawk.  Seward falls to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in the Jayhawk.  Seward plays at Cowley Wednesday night at 5:30.
