Seward County Commission Approves Gathering Limits at the Fairgrounds

The Seward County Commission met Monday evening at 5:30pm an issued a Proclamation for National Health Center Week which is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s Health Centers over the past five decades.
Memorandum of Understandings for dietician services between Susan Lukwago and the Seward County Health Department were approved for the WIC and Maternal and Infant Programs by the Commission.
Commissioners approved the Annual Contract with McCully in the amount of $38,600.00 and approved the airport lease with the City of Liberal in the amount of $1,207.13 with the following changes:
The date of the lease has been changed to April 1, 2020.
The rental amount has increased. All the Airport leases are increased across the board by 10% every ten years.
The language regarding the security deposit has been revised.
The language has been updated regarding weed control.
The language has been added regarding the consumption of alcohol on City Airport property.
The language has been added regarding animals at large.
The language has been added regarding land purchase.
Commissioners also approved the Upgrade and Replacement of the Security System in the Seward County Courthouse, Law Enforcement Center, and Administration Buildings in the amount of $67,129.08.
Commissioners also approved Resolution 2020-15 which limits gathering sizes at the Seward County Fairgrounds Complex. Limits are as follows:
Activity Center – maximum capacity = 228 persons
Activity Center – maximum capacity for each classroom = 12 persons
AG Building – maximum capacity East room = 67 persons
AG Building – maximum Capacity West Room = 41 persons
AG Building- maximum capacity each classroom = 9 persons
Beef Barn – maximum capacity = 63 persons
