The Seward County Commission met Monday evening and after hearing updates from Kirkham Michael, on the Tax Recovery/Tax Sale and on Workers Compensation, adopted the Summer Reading Proclamation and proclaimed June 2, 2025, Summer Reading Kickoff Day in Seward County.
Commissioners took no action on Resolution No. 2025-09 regarding cooperative use of Seward County, Kansas’ GIS Services in the City of Liberal, Kansas and the Interlocal Agreement.
The Commission approved the contract with McCully & Associates as he has been a consultant for Seward County Appraiser’s Office 20+ years. Also Commissioners granted the Conditional Use Permit to allow a Recreational Vehicle Park on a tract of land zoned “AG” Agricultural District located at 12068 Road V, Kismet.
Bids were requested for the removal and replacement of damaged concrete, removal of tree stump and the addition of an ADA ramp for EMS and the Commissioners approved the bid proposal from Maestro Concrete in the amount of $5,600.00 to be paid from ARPA funds.
