The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening and tabled the requests for facility fee waivers for Grace Place Pregnancy Care Center, and two for the United Way.

Seward County Commissioners to approved Resolution No. 2025-09 regarding cooperative use of Seward County, Kansas’ GIS Services in the City of Liberal, Kansas and approved an Interlocal Agreement.

The Commission gave approval of the recommended rate increases on what EMS charges for Service, and gave approval to fix the issue of the roof leak at the EMS Building.

The Commissioners heard an update Regarding Wind Energy Representation by Kerbs Law Office, LLC and held discussion regarding Conflict Interest Laws in Kansas.

With the the retirement of Emergency Management Director, Greg Standard, the Seward County Board of County Commissioners appointed Tim Newman as the Seward County Emergency Management Director. The County Commission further appointed Tim Newman as the Seward County representative to the Southwest Homeland Security Regional Council.
