Seward County offers two $400.00 scholarship awards each year to a child or grandchild of Seward County employees. Students must be enrolled full-time and have a GPA of 2.75 or higher. The recipients of the 2025 Seward County Employee Scholarships at the Commission meeting went to Adali Flores, daughter of Carmen Flores (County Attorney’s Office), and Mykenzie Kolb, daughter of Amanda Kolb (Landfill).

The Board of County Commissioners adopted and read the Summer Reading Proclamation, proclaiming June 2025 as Summer Reading at the Kismet Public Library.

In an added item, the Commission approved a change order for shoulder work on the Satanta Cut-off in the amount of $123,420.
