GREAT BEND, Kan. — Seward County volleyball suffered a 3-0 (19-25, 17-25, 19-25) defeat at the hands of the nationally 12th ranked Barton Cougars on Wednesday evening in the Barton Gymnasium.
The Saints (6-14, 3-6 KJCCC) have now lost four consecutive matches after starting league play 3-2. The last three losses have been straight set sweeps.
Seward battled the Cougars (21-5, 8-1), who currently sit in second place in the league standings, but were unable to match Barton’s attack.

The Saints return home to the friendly confines of The Greenhouse on Saturday as they host the Pratt Beavers at 2 p.m.
