Reever Appointed to Seward GOP Vice-Chair

KSCB News - April 18, 2012 8:17 am

Vanessa Reever was appointed the new Vice-Chairwoman of the Seward County Republican Party by it’s precinct committee members last month. Reever replaces Sheral Wortman who resigned her position and moved to another county.

Reever currently works as the Finance Coordinator for the Seward County Clerk’s Office. She is also a precinct committeewoman, a 2008 LEAD graduate, a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, a member of McDermott School Site Council, Treasurer of McDermott School’s Booster Club, and a former Soroptimist Club member.

Reever is looking forward to the responsibility of holding the Vice-Chair position.

“I’m excited and looking forward to working with everyone. I will do the best that I can,” Reever said.

Reever and her husband Daniel have been very active members in the local GOP according to Chairman Reid Petty.

“Daniel and Vanessa have been great assets to the local party. They both will volunteer anytime there is an event,” Petty said.

“While we miss Sheral (Wortman) and wish she hadn’t moved, we won’t miss a beat with Vanessa.”

Reever’s term will last until August, as that is when Wortman’s term was set to be up for a vote again by the precinct committee members.
