For a second straight game, the weather wasn’t willing to cooperate.  But in both cases, the Liberal soccer team left no doubt.  After a weather shortened 4-0 win over Wichita South in Wichita Wednesday night, the Redskins returned home to pummel the Great Bend Panthers 7-0 Thursday night at Redskin Field for the home opener.  A lightning delay occurred with over 21 minutes remaining.

Diego Pavia scored a hat trick with three goals.  Johnathan Young, Gio Barrea, Isaac Erives, and Ariel Gaytan added goals.

Liberal is 3-0 with a 1-0 WAC record and plays Wichita Heights Saturday at 1pm in the championship of the Wichita South Titan Classic.
