Record Temperatures Set Monday

Several southwest Kansas communities set high temperature records Monday.

The National Weather Service in Dodge City released a list of six new record setting or tying high temperatures.

Cimarron 104 degrees. Tied record in 1953 & 1957
Garden City Research Center 107. Previous record was 102 in 1976
Hays Water Plant 106. Previous record was 99 in 2006.
Johnson 107, beating the old record of 105 in 2010
Lakin 110, topping the old mark of 107 in 1893
Ulysses 106. Previous record was 104 in 2010
