Perryton Man Killed in Oklahoma Crash

A delayed fatality accident occurred on June 4th at 7:14 am on US-60, 200 yards west of US-283, approximately 9 miles south of Shattuck, OK in Ellis County.

A 2015 International, driven by Brice D. Reihm, age 32 of Perryton, TX was traveling east on US-60 when he apparently fell asleep resulting in the International departing the roadway to the right. Reihm overcorrected, lost control with the vehicle coming to rest on its side. A passenger in the vehicle, Jose T. L’Esperance, 52 of Perryton, TX was transported by Ellis County EMS to Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, OK before being transferred to Northwest Texas Health Care Center in Amarillo, TX. L’Esperance was admitted in critical condition with head, internal and external trunk injuries. He was pronounced deceased by medical personnel due to injuries sustained in the collision on June 14th.

Reihm was pinned for approximately thirty minutes before being freed by Shattuck Fire Department. He was transported by Ellis County EMS to Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, OK where he was treated and released with an injury to the arm.
