Tamara Jonelle “Tammie” Hensley, age 66, died Monday, July 21, 2025, at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She was born May 3, 1959, in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Wesley E. “Bud” and Georgia (McGillivray) Blalock.
Tammie was a lifetime resident of Ulysses. She graduated from Ulysses High School and furthered her education at Colby Community College. She worked various jobs over the years including KULY, The Ulysses News, USD 214, Frazee Abstract and the elevator during harvest season. Tammie loved to play games and volunteer in the community. She was an active member of the Shelton Memorial Christian Church, and the Dexter D. Harbour American Legion Post #79 Auxiliary.
Tammie is survived by her daughters, Paige Crombie of Lehi, Utah, and Catherine Jacobsen of Arvada, Colorado; niece and nephew, Tara Blalock and David Blalock; great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
Tammie is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Georgia Blalock; brother, Ronald E. “Butch” Blalock and husband, Norman Hensley.
