Paul David Lighty

Paul David Lighty, a dedicated truck driver for many years, passed away on April 18, 2024, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton. He was born on February 10, 1929.

Paul helped build a house when he was 19 years old and later he farmed west of Hugoton, Kansas.

Paul served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Paul was a member of First Church of God, Hugoton, KS.

Paul was a loving husband who was preceded in death by his parents. He was also preceded by his first wife, Anne Marie (Long) Lighty on May 23, 1971, and his second wife Glenda Mae (Redd) Lighty on May 26, 2023 and sister, Beth Lighty Williams.

He is survived by two step-children, Greg Avery and Michelle Lewis. Paul’s legacy lives on through his six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life and career as a truck driver and farmer, Paul touched the hearts of many with his dedication and hard work. He will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and love for his family.
