Nathan Allen (Nate) Vanderpool

Nathan Allen (Nate) Vanderpool, age 26, passed away late Tuesday evening, May 27, 2025, at the Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas.

He was born on July 3, 1998, in Pratt, Kansas, the son of Shane and Randi (Benear) Vanderpool. Nate grew up in Meade and graduated from Meade High School in 2017. Following graduation, he entered the workforce and earned his certification as an auto and diesel mechanic, working for McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep in northwest Arkansas.

Nate always had a smile on his face, and made sure everyone else had one too. He was full of life and enjoyed making people laugh. He was always up for new adventures and liked to stay active by going hiking, fishing and enjoying nature with family and friends.

Nate had a passion for working on vehicles, playing video games, watching scary movies, spending time with his family, and being a great father.

He is survived by his wife, MaKenzie Marie Hailey; his children, Raelynn Sierra Vanderpool and Jaxton Dale Vanderpool; his parents, Randi and Shane Vanderpool; his sister, Ondraya Vanderpool, niece Gemma Wylie, nephew Zayde Vanderpool; maternal grandmother, Pat Benear; paternal grandmother, Sandy Vanderpool; his uncles, Ben Benear and Trevis Vanderpool; and several other great-uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Benear, and paternal grandfather, Dale Vanderpool.

A celebration of Nate’s life will be held at a later date. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family welcomes memorials to his children’s education fund in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas.
