London Johnay Valdez, 16, Hooker, Okla., passed away June 7, in rural Beaver, County, Okla. She was born July 14, 2008, in Liberal, Kan., to Brittany Valdez and Johnny Barnes.
London was taking online classes to fulfill her GED. In her spare time, London had a big heart for rescuing animals. She also enjoyed playing softball, listening to music and hanging out with her friends. Her biggest joy was the time she spent hiking at Red River, NM or in the mountains, and driving around Ponca Lake with her mother, Brittany. London shared a special bond with her older sister, Paris, and they spent many hours sharing secrets, jokes and laughing.
London had a big heart for other people and was always there for anyone who needed her or just needed someone to listen. She was particularly kind to the “underdog”. Her family says she was very loving, kind, had a great sense of humor and a beautiful laugh. London was always putting others before herself. She was a good daughter, granddaughter, and sister.
London will be forever 16 in the hearts of those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Facundo Joe and Felipa Valdez; and grandfather Theron Taylor.
