Ashley Nicole Irvin

Ashley Nicole Irvin, age 42, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born on March 16, 1983, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of David A. and Kim J. (Brown) Irvin.

Ashley was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. She had a deep love for her family and found joy in laughter, music, and the company of her caregivers and visitors. Her expressive face communicated love and happiness in a way that words never could. Ashley was happiest when surrounded by people, especially in the comfort of her room where the warmth of togetherness brought her the most peace. She loved the sunshine and spending time outdoors, particularly floating in the pool while listening to music – her favorite way to relax. Ashley had a special connection with little children, especially her beloved niece and nephew, Jaxton and Jozie, who adored her as much as she did them.

With a sharp internal clock and a strong sense of routine, Ashley always knew what to expect from her day. She brought a sense of rhythm and grace to life that inspired those around her. A faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, Ashley’s life was a testament to love, joy, and quiet strength.

Ashley is survived by her parents, Dave and Kim Irvin of Ulysses; brother, Jared Irvin and wife, Jackie, of Midland, Texas; grandfather, Jerry Brown of Ulysses; nephew and niece, Jaxton and Jozie Irvin; uncle and aunts, Jay and Pam Annis of Ulysses, Kent and Lorna Brown of Topeka, Don Irvin of Ulysses, and Dan Irvin of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and numerous cousins.

Ashley is preceded in death by her grandparents, Susanne Brown, Elmer Irvin, Ruth Ann Irvin, and Arlin and Betty Alexander.
