Brock Kappelmann - February 10, 2024 7:38 am

After hope fueled starts against Great Bend and Garden City in which Liberal built leads the past two games, the Redskins were never close to the first place Hays Indians Friday night in the Big House.  Hays beat Liberal 66-32 in the last Friday home game of the season.  The Redskins shot 26 percent from the field in the loss.

Hays built a 19-7 lead and led 21-11 after one and 39-16 at the half.  The Indians led 59-26 after three.

Zayden Martinez scored 11 and was Epic Touch Player of the Game.  Beto Torres added nine.

Hays has won 14 in a row against Liberal and improves to 10-6 and 5-0 in the WAC.  Liberal has lost 22 straight WAC games and falls to 5-12 overall and 0-5 in the WAC.  Liberal plays at Great Bend Tuesday night at about 7:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
