7A from Coach Olvera –

The Seymour Rogers 7th Grade Basketball A-Team had another match Monday against GC-Kenneth Henderson. Once again the Apaches started off with great effort by running great offense and defense against the Falcons in order to win the game. In the first quarter, Prince Collins opened the score by making a three point shot and finished the first quarter with 8 points. Alex Gutierrez followed by making another three point shot and scored a total of 5 points in the first quarter leaving the score to be 14-3, Apaches ahead at the end of the first quarter. The Apaches held on to that lead throughout all four quarters of the game against the Falcons. The Apaches also kept playing with consistent energy the entire game which helped them take the victory home with the final score of 29-20.

7B from Coach Shelby –

The Apaches 7B traveled to Garden on Monday night to take on the KH Falcons inside their dome. Seymour struggled to adjust to the rubberized floor of the dome and trailed the Falcons 8-0 after the 1st quarter. The Apaches fought back, but still ended up losing 37-11. Daylen Aranda (5 points) and Bryan Zepda (4 points) led the Apaches in scoring.
