Man, 26, Charged With Murder In Syracuse Death

Seth Farnsworth of Syracuse was charged Thursday in Hamilton County District Court with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Christopher E. Barr.

Sheriff Richard Garza said bail was set at $2 million for Farnsworth, 26.

Hamilton County sheriff’s officers found Barr after being called to investigate an altercation and stabbing at his home at 4 a.m. Wednesday. Barr, 31, of Syracuse, died a short time later at Hamilton County Hospital.

Farnsworth was arrested later that morning, Garza said.
