Local GOP Meets and Discusses Fundraising

KSCB News - June 4, 2010 12:00 am

The Republican Party of Seward County met Thursday night at the County Administration Building. John Trimmell who is the Chairman asked the crowd of 20 if they would like to have a booth at the fair this August. The committee members in attendance voted in approval of it.

The fair will begin just days after the August primary, so Trimmell said he will try to gather literature and signs from as many of the Republican candidates as possible so that he’ll have material for the winners to promote at the fair.

The group also discussed possible fundraisers to help pay for the booth and for other future events. The group agreed to put together a letter to send out to past members who have contributed.

The group will meet again before the fair to plan, and there will be elections for officers.
