Liberal Police Investigate Homicide

On Sunday, August 13, 2023, at about 12:30 am, the Liberal Police Department responded to the unit block of S. Roosevelt for a male subject, covered in blood on the floor.
Arriving officers located a 59-year-old male with multiple stab wounds. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect was later located on scene and was arrested without incident. An affidavit will be forwarded to the Seward County Attorney’s Office seeking charges for 1st Degree Murder and Criminal Threat.
The investigation is ongoing.
