Liberal City Commission Meets, Moves Forward with New Commission Chambers

Joe Denoyer - May 11, 2021 9:35 pm

The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening and after a Proclamation for National Economic Development Week, heard a request from Seward County through Commissioner Wettstein to allow alcohol at the Air Museum for a County Convention. This will be revisited at the next meeting pending further research.

The Commission approved the submittal of a 2021 Access, Innovation, and Collaboration through the Kansas Department of Transportation, and appointed Amy Thompson to the Memorial Library Board.

Commissioners approved a new phone system, equipment and hardware for the City, and approved the bid of B&G Services for the Rec Center Commission Chambers remodel in the amount of $52,701.10.
