Liberal City Commission Meets

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening at 6:30 for their regularly shcheduled meeting. Among the items on the agenda, the Commission tabled the Debt refinancing until their first meeting in November due to market situations. The Commissioners also heard an update on a condemed property at 234 W.Hickory. The owner has been working with City staff and is making progress on bringing the property back to code, so the Commission voted to continue to allow the owner to continue work on the structure. Also during the meeting, City Commissioners appointed Jeff Granger to the Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, and Sue Lepper to the Liberal Housing Authority Board, The Commission also approved to fund Arkalon Park road improvements in the amount not to exceed $10,000.00. The next regular meeting of the Liberal City Commission will be November 8th.
