Liberal City Commission Meeting

In their regularly scheduled meeting last evening the Liberal City Commission  approved several items on their agenda.  An anonymous donation of $ 5250 to the Dept. Of Recreation to purchase new sports equipment. The commission also accepted bids for the Tower Project and to hire Hayden construction in the amount of  $299,000 with city’s portion being half.  As for the airport, approval of fencing for animal control in the amount of $1,480,000 with Outback fencing awarded the construction contract.  The city’s portion will be $74,015 after a grant from KDOT.  The 2nd street water line improvements were also approved at the cost of $83,840 as well as the water treatment  plant bid not to exceed $4,095,868.
