Liberal Chamber Hosts Annual Bash

The Liberal Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Banquet Saturday night at Liberal High
School. The theme for this years "Bash" was "Enchanted Garden Party", and many Corporate Tables decorated and many attendees came dressed in accordance with the evenings theme. A prime rib dinner, with meat donated by National Beef Packing Company and prepared by Kim’s Ribs was served. The Chamber also recognized several businesses and individuals throughout the evening. In the Table Decorating contest, National Beef took third with, SWMC in second, and the winner was Emeritus at Liberal Springs. Amanda Stout was declared the Best Dressed Individual, while Gary and Sherry Farrell were the Best Dressed Couple. Also recognized were the many sponsoring businesses involved in the B.A.T.T program. A plaque was presented to outgoing board member, Karla Bartel, and Jana Jantzen received her Past President’s plaque and scrapbook. The annual "Friend of the Chamber Award was presented to Southern Pioneer Electric, and Annabelle Clinesmith won the #1 Ambassador Award. Alicia Bird was the Chambers 2011 Merit Award winner. Following the banquet portion of the evening, the audience moved to the Jim Maskus Auditorium where they viewed "A Year In Review" video put together by Chris Garrison and Epic Touch. Rounding out the evening, the audience was entertained by Comedy Hypnotist, Erick Kand as he created side splitting antics with the volunteer subjects up on the stage.
