LHS Finishes Historic Season at State

The Liberal girls golf team capped their first ever season at the state tournament as a team Monday at Willowbend. Megan Campbell led LHS with a 104 for 44th. Jamie Brond fought off illness but still shot a 118. Evan Sumner carded a 119. Kaela Kruger shot a 128. Head coach Kody Thexton says he happy with this team. “I am so proud of how far my girls came this year. We are going to lose some good seniors, but I know the sophomores will step up next season and hope to continue the new tradition.”

Ali Kruse of St. Thomas Aquinas shot a 70 to win the tournament.
