On Saturday, May 13th, Liberal High School will recognize the LHS Class of 2023 with a commencement ceremony at Redskin Field. The ceremony honoring the 2023 graduates will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the gates opening at 8:30 a.m. to the public.

Public parking will be available on the East and West side of Redskin Field, the Annex Parking Lot, and East Campus Parking Lots. Public seating will be available in both the home and visitor grandstands. Handicap parking is available outside the Southeast Gate of Redskin Field, and Handicapped seating will be available on the track in the SE corner of Redskin Field.

All patrons should enter and exit through the north driveways on 7th Street. Liberal Police Department will be on hand to help with the flow of traffic. Please obey all barricades and red curbs. Do not park in any driveway or outside of marked parking spaces.

The ceremony will be streamed live on the LHS YouTube channel for those who are unable to attend, a link will be distributed on the USD 480 and LHS webpages and social media.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Liberal High School Big Gym which may be accessed via Door 15 of the main campus. Because seating in the gym is limited, each graduate will be given seven tickets each after graduation practice on Friday that must be used at the entrance into the big gym. Only patrons with a ticket will be allowed into the gym.

A decision regarding any changes to location or times will be made by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and will be communicated to parents and community via the school messaging system as well as local and social media outlets. If there is a delay, graduation will start no later than 3:00 p.m. All efforts within our control will be made to conduct the ceremony outside at Redskin Field.
