Lady Saints Clinch Spot in Championship Game

Things are looking good for Seward’s softball team. They clinched a spot in the Region 6 championship game Sunday at 4 pm in Wichita after beating Colby 3-1 and topping Garden City 6-0on Saturday at Two Rivers Complex in Wichita. In addition, their chief rival Butler has been knocked out of the tournament. Seward beat Colby 3-1 after Colby upset Barton. Then Courtney Auger tossed a one-hitter and Brittany Kent homered in the win over the Broncbusters. Colby plays Barton, the winner plays Garden City, and the winner meets Seward Monday evening at 6 pm in Pratt.
