House Explosion in Beaver

A house explosion occurred this morning at approximately 5:30am in Beaver Ok at 212 Avenue J. One person was able to crawl out of a window. A neighbor confirmed there were 2 people at the house. The second person was later discovered deceased.

The explosion was heard and felt as far as 2 blocks away said one witness.
Beaver fire chief John Elfers—Beaver county Emergency Manager Keith Sheddon, and an agent with the Oklahoma Fire Marshal’s office, David Conner are on scene to help with the investigation.

The Guymon fire department Structural Collapse Team is also assisting. The house has a lot of damage and is unsafe to go in right now. There are numerous fire departments and oilfield tankers with water helping.
Fire departments involved are:
Oklahoma- Beaver, Turpin, Gate, Forgan, Balko, Slapout, Elmwood, Rosston, Laverne, Guymon .
Kansas— Englewood, Ashland, Meade, Fowler, Plains.
Texas— Darrouzette, Booker

There is a rehab station set up across the street. Citizens and businesses have broughtfood and drink for the Emergency Responders.
