Haskell County Crash Injures Two From Sublette

A woman and a child from Sublette were injured in a crash last night in Haskell County. Forty-nine year old Rosa Ochoa and 11 year old Noah Young were injured and taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City with injuries. A 2000 Peterbilt Truck was headed north on Highway 83. Ochoa drove her 2000 Mercury north on 83 and stopped at the 83/160 junction to turn west. The truck went left of center and Ochoa’s vehicle struck the truck in the trailer unit before the truck went in the ditch and rolled on its side. The truck driver 57 year old Steven Garrett of Amarillo received possible injuries. The crash occurred near milemarker 41 at about 9:15 Thursday night.
