Former BJ Trenkle Drafted by A’s

On Monday, former Bee Jay Caeden Trenkle of Oklahoma State was selected in the draft.  He was selected in the ninth round and 274th pick by the Oakland Athletics.  Trenkle, the son of former Seward men’s basketball assistant coach Swede Trenkle, played for the Bee Jays in 2020 and hit .410, with two home runs, 35 RBI’s, 54 runs, eight doubles, and five triples for the Bee Jays who went 30-9.  At OSU, Trenkle his .302 with six homers, 41 RBI’s, eight doubles, and two triples.
