Firework Regulations for the City of Liberal

The Liberal Police Department would like to remind citizens that fireworks in the City of Liberal are only allowed July 3rd from 8:00 am-11:00 pm, July 4th from 8:00 am – 12:00 am (midnight) and July 5th from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm.

Fireworks must be used on private property and are not allowed on streets or in the parks. The Fire Chief or his designee may decide that an emergency ban be put in place based on weather conditions or other local circumstances.

Violations may be punished with a fine not less than $100 and no more than $1,000 and up to 90 days in jail.
