SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Liberal’s James Fieser is a 6’2”, 185-pound wide receiver and safety for the Redskins. A first team all-conference and all-state honorable mention pick in both football and basketball, Fieser was a key weapon in Liberal’s 7-3 season. In 2024, he posted 33 receptions for 783 yards and 9 touchdowns, bringing his career totals to 73 receptions for 1,351 yards and 14 TDs. When asked about his final season with the Redskins, Fieser said, “Really excited for what’s to come this season with a new coach and whole new offense. Hoping to win the state championship, and prove that Liberal can win.” Fieser has an offer to continue his basketball career at SCCC. His mother Elizabeth Fieser was a center playing basketball at UCF. #sportsinkansas
