OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Elkhart Mayor Leo Carrillo was elected Vice President of the Kansas Mayors Association during the association’s annual meeting on October 9 in Overland Park, Kansas.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the mayors from across the state of Kansas who nominated and voted for me to serve as Vice President of the Kansas Mayors Association,” Carrillo said. “It’s truly an honor to represent our communities and work alongside so many dedicated public servants.”
“I also want to thank the citizens of Elkhart and Morton County for their continued trust and support,” Carrillo added. “The encouragement I receive from our community inspires me to represent our city with pride and to keep working hard to make southwest Kansas voices heard at the state level.”
