The Liberal Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 2025 Duck Festival in Light Park on Saturday. There was food, fun and festivities all day long culminating with the “Duck Race” at 2:00pm.
Activities throughout the day included a 1 mile and 5K run, the Seward County United Way Chili and Taco Cook-Off, Ducky Downs, Trike Races, Bounce houses, Booths, Cornhole Tournament, and more.
Winners in the Duck Race, the top eight and the “Hard Luck Duck” were: Shannon Gilmore in 1st, winning $5000, Holly Donahoo 2nd, $2000, Clarissa Carillo, 3rd and $1000, Osiel Arroyo, 4th, $500, Trae Jordan, 5th $400, Miguel Gomez, 6th, $300, Amanda Collins, 7th $200, and Donna Odneal in 8th for $100. The Lucky Duck picked belonged to Ismael Carillo and was good for $500.
The winner of the 2025 Jeep Wrangler being raffled off by the Seward County United Way was Bart Osstavam of Liberal. He purchased 5 tickets at the Seward County PRCA Rodeo.
