Drug Arrests Made In Haskell County

On September 19th at 03:30 am, in a joint effort with the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Finney County Sheriff’s Office, the Garden City Police Department & the Ford County Sheriff’s Office, two search warrants were executed at residential homes in the 300 block of W. Becknell and the 1500 block of CO RD 30 in Haskell County.

The two search warrants were a direct result from a previous search warrant conducted on August 22, in the 200 block of W. Edelle in Sublette.

Multiple arrests were made including one juvenile male for possession of marijuana, and two adult males for possession of marijuana, use/ possess w/ intent to use drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol for drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture/distribute or cultivate, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, & possession of paraphernalia to store or ingest. This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are pending.

Then on September 26th at 08:10 pm, Violeta Ramirez of Ulysses, KS, was arrested after a traffic stop near the intersection of US Highway 160 and 83 for possession of a controlled substance driving while cancelled, suspended or revoked driving an unregistered vehicle, no proof of liability insurance unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia to store or ingest, along with multiple traffic violations.

Affidavits have been forwarded to the County Attorneys office for the filing of charges.
