Dept. Of Revenue Shuts Down Dodge City Taco Tico

KSCB News - March 5, 2013 3:47 pm

The Kansas Department of Revenue closed ten Taco Tico restaurants today, claiming the store owner owes close to half a million dollars in sales taxes.

The assets of Ajax International Group were seized, and ten Taco Tico restaurants were closed. The restaurants include six in Wichita and one each in Arkansas City, Derby, Dodge City and Topeka.

State warrants show from June, 2011 to October, 2012, Ajax owes more than $434,000 in retail sales taxes.

The stores could be reopened if a tax payment arrangement is approved.
