Crusader’s Anita Reed Earns National Recognition

KSCB News - October 3, 2011 10:46 am

College Media Advisers’ Distinguished Two-Year Newspaper Award is an annual award for two-year college advisers dedicated to student media programs. Only one adviser wins nationally, and Anita Reed, the Crusader adviser at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School has earned the title this year.
The award is for the media adviser who not only gives constructive advice to students, but also guides them, and instills high ethical values in their work. Long days, late nights, numerous deadlines, countless corrections, meticulous work, drive, and passion are some characteristics of Reed.
Reed will receive her award on Oct. 27, during the Crusader staff’s trip to Orlando, Fla., for the National Media Convention .
