Cottonwood Elementary has teamed up with Prairieview Elementary School to host its annual “Patriot Day” ceremony on Thursday , September 11th at 9:30 am in the north parking lot of Cottonwood school.

The event, organized by music teachers Aspen Jaramillo-Martinez of Cottonwood and Jennifer Lewick of Prairieview is a chance for the schools and community to show appreciation to our local first responders, and active/veteran military.

The students will present a number of patriotic song selections as well as recognize those protecting and serving our community and nation; including all branches of the military, police officers, fire department, and emergency personnel, with a special remembrance to those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

Community attendance at this event is encouraged and appreciated.
