The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm. A Treatment Court update was presented as well as discussion on a Hangar at the Airport.

Approved by the Commission was Resolution No. 2435 which calls for the abatement of conditions on Lots 1-3, Block 22 of the Airport Industrial Park. Cimarron General Contracting was awarded the bid in the amount of $17,500.

Commissioners approved the purchase of four Motorola APX 6000 handheld radios and chargers at the quoted price of $18,172.32 for the Fire Department, and gave approval of the community event application process and requirements.

The Commision approved the adoption of the new City of Liberal logo as presented to be incorporated into branding projects.

Commissioners also approved the survey process of all surplus properties within the
Airport Industrial Park for an amount not to exceed $75,000. Funding will come from the Economic Development portion of the One Cent Sales Tax.

In an added item, and after a lengthy discussion, in a consensus vote 3-2, the commission will continue the discussion of a prepaid CID in the amount of $350,000 for the Dairy Queen project.
