The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm and approved  Resolution No. 2440, allowing the application of the 2027 Section 5311 Transportation Programs Grant. Also the Commission gave approval to Resolution No. 2441, allowing the application of the Recreational Trails Program Grant Both have allowed the Mayor, City Manager, and Finance Director to execute grant documents.

The City Commissioners gave  approval to Resolution No. 2442 for the abatement of vehicle violations on certain properties within the city. Properties include 211 S. New York, 1029 N. Clay, 731 and 720 Missouri, and 14 W. 5th Street.

Commissioners gave approval of the updated Title VI documents in order to qualify for the SFY 2027 KDOT Transit Grant and approved the purchase of 12 ballistic vests for the Liberal Police Department in the amount of $22,110.00 with funding coming from the Police Department’s General Uniform Purchase line item.
