Car Semi Accident in Cimarron County

A personal injury accident occurred early Thursday morning at at 12:30am on US-287 thirteen miles north of Boise City, Oklahoma in
Cimarron County.

A 2008 Honda 4 door driven by an individual whose name has been withheld pending next of kin notification of Pasadena, Texas

was southbound on US-287,   The Honda crossed over into the northbound lane, and a
2012 Freightliner semi driven by Oscar Rodriguez  44, of Highland, California tried to take evasive action but the Honda

struck the semi in the northbound lane of traffic. The Honda came to rest in the east bar ditch, and

semi came to rest in the west bar ditch.

The driver of the Honda was transported by Boise City EMS to Cimarron County Memorial Hospital in

Boise City, Oklahoma, and flown by Life Saver to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas where he was
admitted for trunk internal injuries. Listed in stable condition.
Rodriguez was transported by Boise City EMS to Cimarron County Memorial Hospital
in Boise City, Oklahoma.  Treated and released.
A Passenger in the semi, Junior Rodriguez, 23 of Highland, California was not injured.
