The voters of Liberal voted ‘no’ to the capital outlay special election on Tuesday by just 85 votes.
The ballot had a single ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question on it. There were 1,691 voters who cast a ballot. There were 888 voters who voted ‘no,’ while 803 voted ‘yes.’ The results are still unofficial.
The failing of the election means no capital outlay for 2009-10, which means 0 mills.
The Board of Education will have to wait to set a new capital outlay resolution next year.
