J. Brooks Kappelmann is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior quarterback J. Brooks Kappelmann is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. Kappelmann leads the WAC with 702 passing yards and seven touchdown passes. He leads the WAC with four rushing touchdowns and is second in the WAC with 337 rushing yards. Kappelmann was first team all WAC as a junior and was the WAC Player of the Year in baseball. Brooks is involved in football, basketball, baseball, powerlifting, fall musical, and FCA. He is the junior class vice president and is a member of the LHS student council. He founded and is president of the All Are Welcome Club at LHS. The Redskins visit Dodge City Friday night at 7pm with Redskin Pre-game at 6pm on 1270 and 92.3.
