Liberal senior linebacker and running back Blayden Betts is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Betts led the Redskins to a 52-13 win over Guymon Friday night with 6 carries for 40 yards and two touchdowns, a catch for a touchdown, six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass break up, and a blocked extra point.  He is also the long snapper for the Redskins on special teams.  On the season, Betts leads the Angry Red with five tackles for loss.  Betts is also involved in powerlifting, baseball, golf, FCA, and NHS.  Betts and the Redskins play at Dodge City Friday night with pre-game at 6 and kick off at 7 on 1270 and 92.3.
