Bee Jays Earn First Win of Season

The Liberal Bee Jays earned their first victory of the season with a 10-7 win over El Dorado Saturday night at Brent Gould Field. The Bee Jays trailed early 2-0, but sparked a comeback including back-to-back home runs by Pepperdine’s Torrey Jacoby who hit a grand slam and Lubbock Christian’s Tanner Rindels hit a solo shot. Tennesse’s Dylan Hochevar pitched six innings for the win without issuing a walk and striking out four. Seward’s Austin Terhune pitched three scoreless innings for the save. Liberal is now 1-2 on the season. They will host El Dorado Sunday at 7 p.m. National Beef is the buyout sponsor and will be cooking hamburgers for the fans in attendance.
