Ardurra Team Provides Update to the Community

GUYMON- On October 22, 2025, the Ardurra Engineering Team sat in a public meeting to
provide updates regarding the Mesa Water Project to the Guymon community. Project
Manager, Jordan Coirier, provided updates on all three phases of the water project, along
with her were Camila Lang and Crystal Kowalik from Adurra.

Coirier advised that the project is completed 60% and will be focused on improvements to the
water delivery system in Phase III. The completion date for this phase is projected for
February of 2026 with bids going out in early spring.

City Manager Mike Shannon provided some questions for Coirier regarding the water storage
tanks and what material Ardurra advised and planned to utilize for the tanks. Coirier advised
that while both steel and concrete are great options for the tanks, given the amount of water
planned on being stored, concrete would provide better reliability and resistance.

Shannon also gave the community some insight regarding funding for the Mesa Water
Project. He advised that the $32.2 million dollar project applied for a $17.5 million dollar
grant from the Department of Energy by Economic Development Director Sheila Martin and
was awarded the money. However, after the current administration took office in January, the
Department of Energy has hit a pause on funding. Although this would be of great assistance
for the project, Shannon assured the community that the project would continue without it.

The Mesa Water Project would provide the City of Guymon residents an additional 5 million
gallons of water a day in order to ensure resilience for the future.
