Liberal senior cross country runner Antonio Borunda is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Borunda took 10th at the 6A regional meet in Wichita Saturday with a time of 17:16.82.  His time and place led the Redskins who qualified for state as a team for the first time since 2014.  Borunda also runs track and is a member of student council and Key Club.  Borunda took 53rd at 5A state last year and 70th in 5A as a sophomore.  He and his teammates run at 6A state at Rim Rock Farms in Lawrence on Saturday.
