Almost 70 Vendors At This Years 5 State Fair

The Seward County Five State Fair Board Association is excited about the festivities planned for this year�??s event, July 28 through August 5. Among the events planned are a Mutton Busting, Farmer�??s Olympics, Midget Wrestling, Gospel Fest, car races, lawn and garden tractor pull, a BBQ cook-off and hamburger cook-off.
Things are also looking up for the commercial booths in the Activity Center this year, with almost 70 vendors on the roster.
�??We are really excited about how this year�??s events are shaping up,�?� said Five State Fair Board Association Member Nancy Kletecka. �??We have vendors coming this year from Colorado, Texas and all over the state of Kansas. The number of food vendors for outside is also up this year so there should be a lot to choose from for everyone.�?�
Along with the commercial booths in the activity center, the Fair Board encourages everyone to come out and peruse the exhibits that will be on display there as well as enjoy the �??home grown talent�?� that will be on stage Friday and Saturday, and the Not So Newlywed Game Saturday afternoon.
Commercial booths at the activity center will be open to the public this year from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on August 3 and 4 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 5.

Eagle Med and Seward County EMS will be on hand Saturday with an aircraft and an ambulance on the north side of the activity center.
