Accident in Texas County Injures Three

An injury accident occurred on Friday October 13th at approximately 7:35 pm on OK-136 and CR HH northbound, approximately 11 miles south of Guymon, OK.

A John Deere 8520 tractor, pulling a 35 foot sweep plow, being driven by Curtis W Raines, 79 of Guymon, OK was eastbound on CR HH. A 2023 Volkswagen driven by Jordan Ramirez, 24 of Amarillo, TX was northbound on OK-136, travelling at a high rate of speed. Raines attempted to cross OK-136 and failed to yield to The Volkswagen. The Volkswagen struck the tractor and both vehicles coming to rest southeast of the intersection in the ditch.

Raines was transported by Guymon EMS to Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, OK. He was treated and released.

Ramirez was transported by Guymon EMS to Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon. He was then transferred to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo where he was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries.

As passenger in the Volkswagen, Juan Ramirez 32 of Amarillo, TX., was transported to Memorial Hospital of Texas Hospital in Guymon, OK. He was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal and leg
injuries.
