Lady Saints Crush Cowley

The Lady Saints traveled to Ark City and dominated the Cowley Lady Tigers 73-52 Wednesday night at Scott Auditorium in Ark City.  It’s Seward’s fourth straight win at Cowley.  Kimora Fagan was Black Hills Energy player of the game making seven three pointers and pouring in a career high 25 points.

Seward took a 6-5 lead after a pair of Trinitee Holmes three pointers.  Seward built a 16-10 lead and led 19-12 before Cowley nailed a three at the buzzer to make it 19-15 after one quarter.  Cowley raced back to lead 22-21 before a Kimora Fagan three pointer gave the Lady Saints a 24-22 lead at the media timeout.  Seward led 30-22 after Kimora Fagan’s 4th three pointer.  Seward led 30-26 at the half.  Seward built 10 point leads of 38-28 and 40-30.  Seward led 47-38 and led 50-42 after three.  The Lady Saints built their biggest lead of 57-45 with 6:20 remaining.  The Lady Saints extended their biggest lead to 17 at 64-47 with 4:20 to play.  Seward out scored Cowley 23-10 in the fourth quarter and led by as many as 22 points on the way to the win.

Seward shot 40 percent from the field and made 13-28 from three point range while going 12-15 from the foul line.  SCCC held Cowley to 23 percent shooting.  The Lady Tigers were 19-30 from the foul line.  The Lady Saints out rebounded Cowley 39-32.  SCCC only had 13 turnovers.

Kimora Fagan led the way with 25.  Au’Rayona Seals scored a career high 14.

Cowley is  9-8 overall and 5-6 in the Jayhawk.  Seward is 13-4 overall and 8-3 in the Jayhawk.        Seward plays at Dodge City Saturday at 1pm with Saints Shoot-around at 12:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
